Embark on an unforgettable journey through Vietnam's final frontier. The Ha Giang Loop is more than just a tour, it's a passage through time, culture, and some of the most dramatic landscapes in Southeast Asia.
From the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass to hidden H’Mong villages perched on impossible cliffs, every turn reveals a new wonder. This paced 3‑day adventure balances thrilling mountain roads with authentic cultural encounters and downtime in Du Gia—so you experience the real Ha Giang without rushing.
Board a comfy night sleeper bus in Hanoi and drift north. Dawn breaks over Ha Giang—check in at Loop Trails Hostel, sip a hot tea, meet your crew, and settle into mountain time before the ride.

08:00 Breakfast & route briefing at the hostel, then roll out toward the highlands. Climb Bac Sum into the clouds and crest Heaven Gate for your first big panorama.

12:30 Lunch in Yen Minh. The afternoon sweeps into the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark: lean through Tham Ma switchbacks, stroll the stone‑fenced lanes of Lao Sa, and time‑travel at the Vuong Palace—the former H’Mong royal residence.
17:00 Arrive in Dong Van. Check in to a friendly homestay. Evening brings dinner, local games, folk music, and a little “happy water”.
08:00 Breakfast & check‑out, then trace the ledges of the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass—one of Vietnam’s four greatest.

10:00 Step onto the Skywalk for cliff‑edge perspectives, then gaze at the emerald cut of Tu San Canyon. Lunch en route and continue via M Pass and Lung Ho viewpoint.

17:00 Arrive at Du Gia village. Check in to a peaceful homestay. Evening—dinner, music, fun games, and (of course) “happy water”.
08:00 Breakfast with a rice‑field view, then a refreshing dip at the Du Gia waterfall.
10:30 Visit Lung Tam linen village—watch (and try) traditional H’Mong weaving.
16:00 Glide back over Quan Ba Heaven Gate and return to Loop Trails Hostel. Freshen up and catch the night bus to Hanoi or continue onward.
This tour is suitable for most fitness levels. While you don't need to be an athlete, you should be comfortable sitting on a motorbike for extended periods or in a vehicle on winding mountain roads. The homestay accommodation is basic but clean and comfortable.
Ha Giang weather varies by season. October-April is cooler (10-20°C) with possible fog. May-September is warmer (20-30°C) but with occasional rain. We provide rain ponchos but recommend bringing warm layers year-round.
