"Cao Bang is Vietnam's hidden gem. This Cao Bang Loop tour packed everything: Ban Gioc, Nguom Ngao Cave, the dreamy Ngoc Con valley, and the historical Coc Bo. Far less touristy than Ha Giang — and that's exactly what we wanted."

FAQs
Absolutely! Most guests choose the Easy Rider option — you ride as a passenger while an experienced local driver handles the mountain roads. Khau Coc Cha Pass and the surrounding switchbacks are dramatic but completely safe in the hands of our guides.
Cao Bang is far less touristy than Ha Giang. You'll trade the iconic Ma Pi Leng Pass for Khau Coc Cha (15 floors), Du Gia Waterfall for Ban Gioc Waterfall (Vietnam's largest), and H'Mong villages for Tay and Nung communities. Cao Bang also has unique highlights like Coc Bo Cave (Ho Chi Minh's historical hideout) and Angel Eye Mountain that don't exist in Ha Giang.
Pack light but plan for changing mountain weather. Essentials: a warm layer, rain jacket, sunscreen, sunglasses, comfortable closed shoes (some hiking at Angel Eye Mountain and Ngoc Con), a small backpack, swimwear (for Ban Gioc area in summer), camera/phone, charger, and cash for personal expenses. We provide helmets and rain ponchos.
Cao Bang's mountain climate ranges from 8–28°C depending on season. Winter (November–February) can be chilly with mist and 8–15°C in early mornings. Spring and autumn are mild and pleasant (15–25°C). Summer (May–August) is warm and lush green but with afternoon rain showers. Always pack a warm layer.
